Lovejoy and Executive Director Veronique Le Melle on Monday, September 29 for a ribbon-cutting, rededication, and celebration in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. Handel and Haydn Society Announces Bicentennial 2014-15 Season

The Handel and Haydn Society (H+H) and Artistic Director Harry Christophers have announced H+H's 2014-2015 Season-its 200th-featuring the Period Instrument Orchestra and Chorus performing works from the Baroque and Classical eras. Highlights include a collection of some of the greatest oratorios ever written, stellar guest artists, and two brilliant showcases for H+H Concertmaster Aisslinn Nosky. The season opens with a concert that commemorates H+H's first public program at Boston's King's Chapel on December 25, 1815.

A beautiful evening of Shakespeare's words performed by ASP's Resident Acting Company and Youth and music by the incomparable cellist Yo-Yo Ma honored 10 Luminaries, 10 years and raised a remarkable $100,000 for Actors' Shakespeare Project. A sold-out crowd filled Cambridge's Royal Sonesta Grand Ballroom for Bidding for Good auction, reception and sit-down dinner. with rapturous applause and standing ovations throughout the evening on Monday December 2. In celebration of the 75th season, the Celebrity Series of Boston will partner with British artist Luke Jerram to bring his public piano installation, Play Me I'm Yours to Boston from Friday, September 27 to Monday, October 14, 2013. Celebrity Series will install 75 pianos throughout the Boston and Cambridge area to commemorate the anniversary season, bearing the simple instruction, "Play Me, I'm Yours." Located in public spaces throughout Boston and Cambridge, the pianos are available for any member of the public to play and enjoy.
