Susanna Phillips, winner of the Metropolitan Opera's 2010 Beverly Sills Artist Award, has launched the 2011-12 season with a bang.

Lyric Opera of Chicago Creative Consultant - and star soprano - Renée Fleming revealed details of a new collaboration between the world-renowned opera company and Chicago's Merit School of Music in a media conference at the school on Monday, September 12.

Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane, presents THE SOUND OF MUSIC, the Tony Award and Academy Award-winning musical by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, previewing October 20, opening October 27 and running through December 23.
