Joyce Theater Begins Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Season with NY QUADRILLE

After a season of thrilling and diverse programming,The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. (Linda Shelton, Executive Director), New York City's premier presenter of dance, proudly kicks off its 2018-2019 Fall/Winter Season with the return of the wildly popular NY Quadrille, which had its debut in the fall of 2016. The three-week engagement, performed in a transformed Joyce Theater performance space, is conceived and curated by famed choreographer Lar Lubovitch, and features works by some of today's most acclaimed and celebrated choreographers/companies including John Jasperse Projects, Kyle Abraham's A.I.M, former Merce Cunningham dancers Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Riener, Donna Uchizono Company, and Beth Gill.

Tiffany Mills Company Presents The World Premiere Of BLUE ROOM

Tiffany Mills Company presents the world premiere of Blue Room, an evening-length work that explores connections and boundaries created by various modes of human interaction. Performances are Today-Saturday, September 12-15, at 7pm, at The Flea Theater in Tribeca.

Velocity Dance Center And Studio Kate Wallich Present YC2: NEW DANCES II

Studio Kate Wallich and Velocity Dance Center are excited to announce YC2's second evening of work running September 20-23 at Velocity's Founders Theater. In 2015, Stephen Petronio Company culminated its 30th anniversary 2014-15 season with a transformation: the launch of Bloodlines. This autobiographical project not only honors the lineage of American postmodern dance, but also traces the influences and impulses that have shaped choreographer Stephen Petronio, an artist uniquely positioned to preserve this postmodern tradition.

BWW Review: The Joyce Theater Foundation Presents the Sarasota Ballet

On Saturday, August 18, 2018, I attended the 8pm performance, Program B, of the Sarasota Ballet, at the Joyce Theater. Iain Webb, former dancer with both the Sadler's Wells and the Royal Ballet of London, dancing lead roles, took over the directorship of the Sarasota Ballet in July 2007. This program included pieces by Christopher Wheeldon and Sir Frederick Ashton.

NOBA Unveils 2018-2019 Season And Celebrates 50 Years Of Bringing Dance To Life
