Ballet Hispánico Kicks Off 50th Anniversary Celebration With 2020 New York Season At The Joyce Theater

Kyle Abraham's A.I.M Brings Bold Contemporary Dance to the Carpenter Center

Choreographer Kyle Abraham's dance company A.I.M brings a diverse program of contemporary movement to the Carpenter Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. Part of the Carpenter Center's Dance Series, the performance is A.I.M's first public L.A.-area appearance since 2018. The evening of dance includes three of Kyle Abraham's recent works-'Drive' (2017), 'Show Pony' (2018) and 'The Quiet Dance' (2011)-as well as Trisha Brown's 1976 work 'Solo Olos.'

Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company to Showcase the Company's Three Touring Programs in City Center Studio 4

In this 2020 APAP Conference, the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will showcase the Company's three touring programs in City Center Studio 4 on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 8:30pm and Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 6:30pm at the Ailey Citicorp Theater. City Center Studio is located at 130 W 56th St (between Sixth and Seventh Avenues), New York, NY 10019. The Ailey CitiCorp Theatre is located at the lower level of 405 West 55th St, New York, NY 10019. Carnegie Hall Unveils 70+ Events for Beethoven Celebration

As the 250th anniversary year of Beethoven's birth approaches, Carnegie Hall announces a wider schedule of partner events by leading cultural institutions, complementing the Hall's programming as part of its Beethoven Celebration which includes an unprecedented range of performances by renowned artists exploring the composer's works and his transformative impact on music. 10HL Announces 2020 Choreographic Commissions

10 Hairy Legs, the male repertory dance company, continues its aggressive commitment to the commissioning of new works and gains first-time rights to perform Brian Brooks' solo I'm Going to Explode, now totaling 14 World Premiere Commissioned Works since our founding in 2012. Three of the four works will debut at the company's New York Season June 27-29 at New York Live Arts; the fourth dèbuting in New York following its World Premiere at Ocean County College's Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts on April 18, 2020. OCC Commissioned the work with support from the Louis Prima Foundation.

Buglisi Dance Theatre To Take The Stage At Ailey Citigroup Theater

Buglisi Dance Theatre celebrates its 26th Anniversary Season with a program of works by artistic director Jacqulyn Buglisi, company principal dancer Virginie Mécène, Kristine Bendul and Abdiel Jacobsen, and Meagan King.  The program will feature two world premieres by Ms. Buglisi, and a NYC premiere by Ms. Mécène, presented with a commissioning award from the New York State Council on the Arts, and performed by the brilliant of company dancers known for their power and passion.  The Tuesday December 10 performance, an early Performance of Premieres running one hour, will begin at 6 PM and consist of The Moss Anthology: Variation#5, UNUM, In the name of the fire, and the flame, and grace, and Sand.   The full program will be performed Wednesday and Thursday, with curtain time at 7:30 PM.

Tiffany Mills Company Will Present World Premiere of NOT THEN, NOT YET at The Flea Theater

Tiffany Mills Company returns to The Flea Theater with the world premiere of Not then, not yet, an evening-length work that explores states of transition and transformation. Two of the most in-demand artists lend their distinct talents and nuanced understanding to a centuries-old composition in the New York premiere of New Work for Goldberg Variations.
