Rena Butler Named Choreographic Associate at Gibney Company

Gina Gibney announced today that Rena Butler has been named Choreographic Associate for its resident dance troupe, Gibney Company. This new position was created to allow Butler to continue her career as a professional dancer while further developing her talent and experience as a choreographer and leader in the dance field. 

CAP UCLA Presents Israel Galván in MAESTRO DE BARRA

UCLA’s Center for the Art of Performance will present Israel Galván in Maestro de Barra on Saturday, March 6 at 7 p.m. PST through CAP UCLA Online. This free performance was commissioned by CAP UCLA and is presented in association with UCSB’s Arts & Lectures and The Joyce Theater.

NAI-NI CHEN DANCE COMPANY has announced The Bridge classes February 1-5, 2021. Interested dancers can join the class by registering on Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company's website. The Bridge Class schedule are as follows: Monday Seyong Kim (Ballet) at 11am, Tuesday Yuka Notsuka (Kinetic Spiral) at 11am and more.

LayeRthythm Commences Bridge Street Theatre's Dance Residency

Next up in Bridge Street Theatre's ongoing 2021 Winter Dance Residency initiative is French-Vietnamese dance artist Mai Lê Hô's LayeRhythm. The troupe will be using their two-week residency at the Hudson Valley-based performing arts complex (February 1 - 12) to develop a new piece called SWITCH, culminating in an online performance excerpt from Section One (out of five) of this evening-length work-in-progress.

Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE to be Live Streamed From The Joyce Theater

 The Joyce Theater Foundation, Northrop at the University of Minnesota, DANCECleveland, and Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) will present a celebration of the 35th Anniversary of Ronald K.
