Dormeshia to Return to The Joyce Theater This Summer With RHYTHM IS LIFE

The Joyce Theater Foundation will welcome the return of percussive dance and one its greatest superstars this summer with the world premiere of Rhythm is Life. This latest work from Dormeshia, a celebration of both the art form she dominates and life itself, will play The Joyce Theater from July 26-31.

Florida Teen Selected for Training Spot with The Sarasota Ballet

When former international ballet star Jean-Hugues Feray decided to open his own dance school in Jupiter in early 2009, the Keavy family noticed. They recognized Feray immediately from his years dancing professionally with the original Ballet Florida and were one of the first families to enroll their then-4-year-old daughter Clare in dance classes at his new school. Their daughter quickly fell in love with ballet, and today – after 13 years of training with Feray at his now-renowned Paris Ballet and Dance – Clare, now 17, has earned a coveted trainee spot at The Sarasota Ballet on Florida’s west coast.

MOMIX to Return to The Joyce with ALICE

The Joyce Theater Foundation will travel down the rabbit hole this summer with MOMIX and Artistic Director Moses Pendelton’s latest creation, ALICE. Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, this mind (and body) bending evening-length adventure will play a three-week summer engagement at The Joyce Theater from July 6-24.

Ballet Tech's Kids Dance to Return to the Joyce for First New York Season Since 2019

Ballet Tech’s Kids Dance will return to The Joyce Theater (175 Eighth Avenue) with a program devised by the organization’s new artistic director, Dionne D. Figgins. The production celebrates founder Eliot Feld, featuring some of his early Kids Dance pieces as part of Ballet Tech’s expanding repertory.
