RIOULT, a leading American modern dance company with a classic sensibility, previously announced its four-day 2012 NY Season at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College, May 10-13, 2012 with a family matinee May 13, 2012. The Season features the World Premiere of Artistic Director/Choreographer Pascal Rioult's new work, The Violet Hour, inspired by T.S. Eliot's "The Waste Land" with a commissioned score by Grammy-Winning composer Joan Tower. The program also includes RIOULT's Firebird (2003) and Celestial Tides, which captivated audiences at its premiere at The Joyce Theater in 2011.

To celebrate the 150th birthday of modern-dance pioneer Loie Fuller (1862-1928), Jody Sperling/Time Lapse Dance, in association with The Joyce Theater Foundation, presents a season honoring her legacy at Joyce SoHo. Artistic Director Jody Sperling - who has earned an international reputation as the leading contemporary interpreter of Fuller's genre - offers a range of tribute works varying in approach from reverential to experimental.

The official opening will take place on Wednesday, June 6.

Led by Israeli-born Artistic Director Zvi Gotheiner, ZviDance will premiere DABKE, a contemporary dance inspired by this ancient Middle-Eastern folk dance, and COUPLING. While Introdans is one of The Netherlands three national dance companies, it is the only one that has never performed in the United States. This will be rectified tonight, May 1, through May 6 when the company makes its U.S. debut at The Joyce Theater with "Heavenly," a program featuring premieres by Nils Christe, Ed Wubbe and Gisela Rocha.
