The Joyce Theater, under the executive direction of Linda Shelton, announces the second installment of Joyce UNLEASHED, a collection of cutting-edge performances presented outside its historic Chelsea home, taking place this March at New York Live Arts (219 West 19th Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues). Cultural partners Jacob's Pillow Dance and MASS MoCA present KEIGWIN + COMPANY, April 11 at 8pm and April 12 at 3pm at the Hunter Center. A favorite among dance audiences and critics, KEIGWIN + COMPANY will bring a mixed program of high art and pure entertainment, featuring a variety of diverse contemporary works that embody the company's signature wit, broad musicality, and profound emotional capacity. In a momentous co-commission, Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University and Ravinia Festival, will present two new works by world-renowned choreographer Twyla Tharp November 6 – 8, 2015. Celebrating 50 years of creating dance for both modern and ballet companies, television, Broadway and Hollywood, the program will be seen throughout North America during a 10-week anniversary tour to 15 cities, honoring Tharp's five decades of dance-making. The new works, each comprised of 12 dancers—many whom have worked with Tharp over the years—will have music by J.S. Bach, Henry Butler, Steve Bernstein and John Zorn.
Here they come! A new royal partnership is being forged: Michele Wiles, one of ballet's most celebrated Swan Queens, and Jay Donn, the reigning king of Punchlines, a form of Brooklyn-based flex dancing. The result is 'Something Sampled,' one of three world premieres on the boards for BalletNext's season, 'Baroque'd,' at New York Live Arts, today, February 10 through February 14.
The Martha Graham Dance Company's Shape&Design theme explores Graham's defining influence as an American modernist with programs that feature the sculptural and architectural aspects of choreography by Graham and others. The Company's two-week season at The Joyce Theater in New York City, today, February 10-22, 2015, will offer Graham classics, new commissions, and premieres by guest choreographers in three varied programs. The Company's expansive 2014-15 season also includes a twenty-city U.S. tour, and several projects related to Shape&Design, including partnerships with the Museum of the Fashion Institute of Technology and the international art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

Randy James' all male dance company, 10 Hairy Legs, returns to Crossroads Theatre, New Brunswick for its third consecutive appearance on Sunday, March 29 at 3:00 pm. Continuing to showcase the company's expanded repertory that explores the range of the male dancer, the performance will be followed by a Panel Discussion on the stage with Artistic Director Randy James, New Jersey choreographer Cleo Mack and Company Member Kyle Marshall. Featuring special performances from prominent professional dance companies from across the United States (plus outstanding NYC Dance Alliance alumni and NYC Dance Alliance faculty), some of the artists and companies taking part include Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, the Intermezzo Dance Company, and Keigwin + Company.
