Sara Bareilles, who saved the day at a recent preview of her new Broadway musical WAITRESS, has great news for the show's record-breaking audiences.

TUCK EVERLASTING, the new musical based on Natalie Babbitt's beloved best-selling novel of the same name, is currently in previews at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). With direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (Something Rotten!, Aladdin, The Book of Mormon), Tuck Everlasting will officially open on Broadway on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig have announced that the hit musical Kinky Boots celebrates its three-year anniversary on Broadway today, April 4, and is now that the longest running show to ever play the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street), a record previously held by the original production of The Man of La Mancha.

The Old Globe welcomes Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, making his musical directing debut with RAIN, a sumptuous world premiere musical by one of the most significant teams working in theatre today: composer and lyricist Michael John LaChiusa and book writer Sybille Pearson. Based on the short story by Somerset Maugham, RAIN will play now through May 1, 2016 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Signature Theatre has announced casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for Signature Plays, which revisits the work of three Legacy playwrights with Edward Albee's The Sandbox, Maria Irene Fornes' Drowning, and Adrienne Kennedy's Funnyhouse of a Negro. Directed by Lila Neugebauer (A.R. Gurney's The Wayside Motor Inn), this trio of plays, all produced during their author's original Playwright-in-Residence season and presented together for the first time, celebrates Signature's rich and diverse history over the past quarter century.

La Jolla Playhouse has announced the cast and creative team for its world-premiere production of Hollywood, by Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro (Memphis, Chasing the Song) directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley.

Broadway's Waitress began performances on Friday March 25 with a bang, setting a house record for a single performance the Brooks Atkinson Theatre with a gross of $$145,532.00 and announcing a new block of tickets on sale through January 1 2017. Waitress opens Sunday, April 24.
