A NEW THEORY OF VISION Opens 3/18 At Kraine Theater

Bob Jude Ferrante's comedy 'A NEW THEORY OF VISION' opens March 18TH at the Kraine Theater Spooky and hilarious things happen when philosophy professor Lee Krebs finds himself in cyberspace with his hero, the philosopher George Berkeley (Berkeley, who lived 1684-1753, wrote that people learn of reality only through their senses).

THAT PRETTY PRETTY Premieres At Rattlestick On 2/23

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (David Van Asselt, Artistic Director and Sandra Coudert, Managing Director) continues its 14th anniversary season with the World Premiere of That Pretty Pretty; or, The Rape Play, a new comedy by Sheila Callaghan, directed by Kip Fagan (Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom, Nelson). Performances begin Tuesday, February 10th. Opening night is Monday, February 23rd at 7pm. The show will run through Sunday, March 15th.

Playwrights Theater Stage A NEW THEORY OF VISION 3/18- 4/11

Sanctuary: Playwrights Theater (www.sanctuarytheatre.org) will stage Bob Jude Ferrante's 'A New Theory of Vision' at the Kraine Theater, 85 East 4th Street (between Bowery & Second Avenue). The play will run from March 18th through April 11th, Wednesday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Cat Parker directs; the play stars Eric Percival as Lee, Maeve Yore as Cara, Matt Steiner as Erich, Julian Elfer as Ted, and Brooke Eddey as Jane, with Sonya Tsuchigane and Lawrence Cantor. Samuel French Releases OFF OFF BROADWAY FESTIVAL PLAYS

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's 14th Anniversary Gala, It's All About the Art, took place on October 6, 2008 at Caroline's on Broadway in New York City. Rattlestick celebrated the many artistic talents involved in their productions with this year's Gala, It's All About the Art, which featured a cocktail reception, dinner and a luxury auction of unique items and experiences in the company of Rattlestick alumni and friends. There was also be special entertainment, and proceeds went directly to support Rattlestick's pioneering theatrical work.

PRELUDE '08; Free Festival of New Works to Take Place Sept. 24-27

PRELUDE '08 -- the fifth annual FREE festival of new work by more than 20 of New York's most distinctive contemporary theatre artists including Richard Foreman, Big Art Group, NYC Players, Builders Association, Jenny Schwartz and NTUSA -- will be presented September 24 to 27 at the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center (MESTC) at The Graduate Center (365 Fifth Ave. at 34 St.) at The City University of New York in Manhattan.
