3LD Art & Technology Center Presents THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL Starting 3/15

Aaron Louis (Producing Director, 3LD Art & Technology Center) in association with New Georges and The Essentials, will present the world premiere of THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL, written by Marielle Heller, adapted from the hit graphic novel of the same name by Phoebe Gloeckner, and directed by Sarah Cameron Sunde and Rachel Eckerling in a multi-media production. Performances will begin on Sunday, March 15 at 8:00 p.m. at 3LD Art & Technology Center, 80 Greenwich Street (just south of Rector Street). The official opening night will be Sunday, March 28 at 8:00 p.m. (Performances will run through Monday, April 12.)

Director Sheryl Kaller and playwright Rinne Groff Added to Drama Desk Panel at BMI

The Drama Desk, the organization of professional writers, critics and columnists who cover all sectors of New York theater, will present its first Panel Discussion of the 2009-2010 theater season on Thursday, February 25, 2010, from 5:30 - 7:30 PM in the BMI offices at 320 West 57th Street, it was announced by William Wolf, President of the organization.

Women Cook For Women, Raise Money For Women's Theater Project

Top Chef Lee Anne Wong, 24 Prince's Chef & Top Chef's Nikki Cascone, Iron Chef America's Alexandra Guarnaschelli, Jo's Desert Chef Anne Kim and Back Forty's Shanna Pacific will prepare a gala dinner for Laurie Anderson, Joan Osborne and Suzanne Vega and 196 others to benefit Women's Project, the theater company that has been producing the work of female theater artists for 32 years, on Monday, March 8.

WOMEN AT WORK Panel to Feature Baker, Callaghan, McKinnon & More, 2/25

A Drama Desk panel titled 'Women at Work: Directing and Writing for the Theater' will welcome Playwrights Annie Baker and Sheila Callaghan, and Directors Karen Carpenter, Pam McKinnon, and Susan H. Schulman, for a frank discussion on women in the theatre industry. The event will take place on February 25, 2010.

The Firehouse Theatre Project Presents FESTIVAL OF NEW AMERICAN PLAYS, 1/28-1/31

The Firehouse Theatre Project will be presenting its 8th annual Festival of New American Plays. The national playwriting competition will conclude from Thursday, Jan. 28 through Sunday, Jan. 31 at the Firehouse Theatre at 1609 W. Broad Street in Richmond. Two plays have been selected as this year's finalists from nearly 200 entries submitted by talented playwrights from nearly every state in the country. This year's two finalists are: 'The Jag' by Gino DiIorio of New York, N.Y., and 'American Pastime' by Mike Folie of Congers, N.Y.

The 2009-2010 season of Reprise Theatre Company continues with Rodgers and Hammerstein's 'Carousel,' January 26 to February 7 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. Alexandra Silber stars as Julie Jordan, direct from her critically acclaimed portrayal of Julie Jordan in 'Carousel' at the Savoy Theatre in London's West End (TMA Award - Best Actress).

Silber is joined by Robert Patteri as Billy Bigelow ('Scarlet Pimpernel,' 'Beauty and the Beast'.) Veteran character actor M. Emmet Walsh appears as the Starkeeper. Michael Michetti, co-artistic director of The Theatre at Boston Court, will direct, with choreography by Lee Martino and musical direction by Darryl Archibald.
