American Ballet Theatre's 2014 season at the Metropolitan Opera House was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. The season will be highlighted by the Company Premiere of Frederick Ashton's Cinderella, and a Shakespeare Celebration to include Ashton's The Dream and Alexei Ratmansky's The Tempest. Season revivals include Leonide Massine's Gaîté Parisienne and Kenneth MacMillan's Manon.
To introduce its stellar faculty to downtown Evanston workers and residents and welcome them to its new campus, the Music Institute of Chicagois offering free lunchtime concerts and conversation one Wednesday per month from 12:15 to 1 p.m. at its new home, 1702 Sherman Ave., Evanston. Lunch is available for purchase from the Pret A Manger Kiosk, and free coffee will be served.

River Oaks Chamber Orchestra (ROCO) will take a unique musical voyage far and near this upcoming season titled Around the World in ROCO Ways. That theme is reflected in the 2013 - 2014 ROCO Chamber Series with a schedule of six Sunday afternoon concerts at Gremillion & Co. Fine Arts Annex. The ROCO Chamber Series features chamber groups drawn from within the orchestra. They are intimate concerts that highlight the virtuosity of individual musicians and ensembles and are intentionally designed to draw the audience into musical conversations.
Company C Contemporary Ballet founder and Artistic Director Charles Anderson has announced details of the Company's 2014 season of two programs plus a benefit gala in San Francisco and Walnut Creek with performances January 30 through May 11, 2014, at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and ODC Theater in San Francisco and the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. The 12th season will feature a wide range of the kinds of ballets that have set the barre high for this 14-member Bay Area Company, which will return to New York for its third season there at the Joyce Theater August 9 and 10. Theatricality, precision technique, bravura performance, wit and a flair for the off-beat and innovative will be embodied in world premieres by Anderson, Susan Jaffe, Maurice Causey and Charles Moulton, as well as in the return of repertory favorites by Anderson, Patrick Corbin, Alexandre Proia, Charles Moulton and Yuri Zhukov. From October 16-20, the Company will present a variety of mixed-bill programs with works by Edwaard Liang, Serge Lifar, Wayne McGregor, Mark Morris, Alexei Ratmansky, SF Ballet Artistic Director & Principal Choreographer Helgi Tomasson, Yuri Possokhov, and Christopher Wheeldon.
