In September 2011, Open Books published Susie Duncan Sexton's first book, a collection of memoir-style essays, Secrets of an Old Typewriter. Now, Open Books, due to popular demand, is augmenting the book's successful digital distribution with a print edition.

In an internet age consumed by social media like Facebook, Twitter, and Match.com, the idea of two lonely hearts connecting as anonymous pen pals may seem quaint. The Penny Seats theatre company aims to correct that assumption with their summer production of the award-winning musical classic "She Loves Me," opening July 26 at Ann Arbor's West Park Band Shell.

When Performance Network Theatre decided to engage in two co-productions for their 30th Anniversary season, an opportunity arose to revive their second stage offerings. With both "God of Carnage" and the upcoming "Dead Man's Shoes" being rehearsed off-site, Performance Network's black box rehearsal hall was wide open for use by a neighboring company, The Penny Seats, and the first show of their second season, Jeffrey Hatcher's "What Corbin Knew." Performances will begin Feb 28 and run through March 14, 2012 at Performance Network.
