Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning regional theatre in downtown Pittsfield, Massachusetts, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, is celebrating BSC's New Works Initiative with a BSC in NYC Benefit on Monday, November 4 at 6pm at the American Airlines Theatre Penthouse (227 West 42nd Street). The BSC New Works Initiative was launched in 2012 with Mark St. Germain's world premiere Dr. Ruth, All the Way, now entitled Becoming Dr. Ruth.
Following the world premiere at Barrington Stage Company and a sold out run at TheaterWorks, Hartford, the New York premiere of Becoming Dr. Ruth, a warmhearted, candid and inspiring comedy starring Debra Jo Rupp, ('That 70's Show') written by Mark St. Germain and directed by Julianne Boyd, began performances Off-Broadway on Friday, October 11th and officially open on Tuesday, October 29th at The Westside Theatre, Upstairs (407 West 43rd Street, New York, NY 10036). Producers Michael Alden, Stefany Bergson and Rodger Hess have announced a special talkback series at Becoming Dr. Ruth, featuring America's favorite sex therapist, Dr. Ruth K. Westheimer, following select Wednesday evening performances. These special talkbacks will take place October 30, November 6, 13, 20 and December 18, and are complimentary to ticketholders for these performances.

Freud's Last Session will run from Wednesday, September 18 to Saturday, October 19 at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse located on the corner of Lafayette and Bank Streets in downtown Cape May. Performances are at 8 p.m. and occur Tuesdays through Sundays. Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 seniors (62+) and $15 students. A half-price preview performance will take place Wednesday, September 18 followed by the official opening night Thursday, September 19.
