Debra Jo Rupp, Dr. Ruth K. Westheimer Set for Barrington Stage's BSC IN NYC Benefit, 11/4

Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning regional theatre in downtown Pittsfield, Massachusetts, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, is celebrating BSC's New Works Initiative with a BSC in NYC Benefit on Monday, November 4 at 6pm at the American Airlines Theatre Penthouse (227 West 42nd Street). The BSC New Works Initiative was launched in 2012 with Mark St. Germain's world premiere Dr. Ruth, All the Way, now entitled Becoming Dr. Ruth.

Following the world premiere at Barrington Stage Company and a sold out run at TheaterWorks, Hartford, the New York premiere of Becoming Dr. Ruth, a warmhearted, candid and inspiring comedy starring Debra Jo Rupp, ('That 70's Show') written by Mark St. Germain and directed by Julianne Boyd, began performances Off-Broadway on Friday, October 11th and officially open on Tuesday, October 29th at The Westside Theatre, Upstairs (407 West 43rd Street, New York, NY 10036). BECOMING DR. RUTH to Host Series of Talkbacks with its Legendary Subject Dr. Ruth K. Westheimer, Begin. 10/30

Producers Michael Alden, Stefany Bergson and Rodger Hess have announced a special talkback series at Becoming Dr. Ruth, featuring America's favorite sex therapist, Dr. Ruth K. Westheimer, following select Wednesday evening performances. These special talkbacks will take place October 30, November 6, 13, 20 and December 18, and are complimentary to ticketholders for these performances.

Square One Theatre to Present FREUD'S LAST SESSION, 11/1-16

The opening production of Square One Theatre's 24th Season is the 'Lively, Provocative and Witty (New York Magazine) play Freud's Last Session by Mark St. Germain. Described as a humorous, insightful character study about psychoanalyst Dr. Sigmund Freud and professor/author C.S. Lewis, Freud's Last Session opens Friday, November 1 and continues on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through Saturday, November 16 (2013) at Square One's home base, the Stratford Theatre, located at 2422 Main Street inStratford, Connecticut.

FREUD'S LAST SESSION to Open The Rep's 2013-14 Studio Theatre Series, 10/30-11/24

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) opens its 2013-2014 Studio Theatre series with the insightful play Freud's Last Sessionby Mark St. Germain and inspired by the book The Question of God by Dr. Armand M. Nicholi, Jr. This engaging production will be performed in the Emerson Studio Theatre at the Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts, 130 Edgar Road (on the campus of Webster University), Webster Groves, October 30-November 24, 2013.

Playwright Mark St. Germain to Visit Cape May Stage, 9/21-22

Playwright Mark St. Germain, author of Freud's Last Session, will be paying Cape May Stage a special visit Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22. In two very special talk-backs after the 8 p.m. performances, St. Germain will illuminate audiences to the inspiration for the show and the process of tackling the radically different positions of the two main characters. Audiences will get the opportunity to pose questions and engage in discourse with St. Germain, accompanied by light refreshments in the intimate setting of the Robert Shackleton Playhouse.

KISS ME KATE & Mark St. Germain's DANCING LESSONS Set for Barrington Stage's 2014 Season

Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director, has announced two productions for the theater's 20th Anniversary Season - Kiss Me, Kate the musical comedy masterpiece by composer Cole Porter and authors Sam and Bella Spewack and the world premiere romantic comedy Dancing Lessons by Mark St. Germain.

Cape May Stage to Present FREUD'S LAST SESSION, 9/18-10/19

Freud's Last Session will run from Wednesday, September 18 to Saturday, October 19 at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse located on the corner of Lafayette and Bank Streets in downtown Cape May. Performances are at 8 p.m. and occur Tuesdays through Sundays. Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 seniors (62+) and $15 students. A half-price preview performance will take place Wednesday, September 18 followed by the official opening night Thursday, September 19.
