Penguin Rep Theatre presents the New York premiere of The Fabulous Lipitones, a musical comedy by John Markus (head writer for The Cosby Show) and Mark St. Germain (Freud's Last Session, Becoming Dr. Ruth), directed by Peter Flynn, and starring Broadway veterans P.J. Benjamin (Wicked, Chicago), Scott Mikita (Phantom of the Opera), and Joe Ricci (A View from the Bridge), joined by Rachid Sabitri, from today, August 8 through August 31 in Stony Point, New York.

Paige Davis & John Cariani to Lead Barrington Stage's DANCING LESSONS, Running 8/7-24

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, presents the world premiere of Dancing Lessons, the new romantic comedy by playwright and BSC Associate Artist Mark St. Germain from August 7 - 24. Opening night is August 13 at 7pm.

Last night, Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, presented Breaking the Code, Hugh Whitemore's biographical drama of Alan Turing, starring BSC Associate Artist Mark H. Dold. Directed by Joe Calarco, performances of Breaking the Code are from today, July 17 through August 2, with a press opening on Sunday, July 20 at 5pm. Broadwayworld was there for the opening.

Matrix Theatre Announces Sets 2014-15 Season: RAPTURE, BLISTER, BURN; BEST OF ENEMIES & More

Matrix Theatre Company's 2014-2015 Mainstage season features a Grand Cyclops of the KKK, an African-American civil rights activist, 20th-century feminism, and a gorilla in a zoo, and we're just getting started! The feminist comedy by Gina Gionfriddo, Rapture, Blister, Burn, opens the season beginning in November, followed by Mark St. Germain's Best of Enemies, the true story of a southern town in the middle of the desegregation of their public school system. The season ends with the unique story of a woman confronting choices surrounding complications with her pregnancy and the part that a gorilla in the zoo and an elderly woman play in offering her comfort in Precious Little by Madeleine George. Individual tickets go on sale on Monday, August 18, 2014. Prices range from $15 to $20. A Season Ticket Pass may be purchased at a 20% discount. Reverse Rush Ticketing price discounts are available if tickets are purchased online. Group rates are available for most shows. Orlando Shakespeare Partners with Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center for THE BEST OF ENEMIES, 10/15-11/16

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF announces a very special collaboration with the Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Florida. Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the passage and signing of the Civil Rights Act, the two organizations will partner to present The Best of Enemies from October 15 - November 16, 2014 on the Goldman Theater stage. The powerful new play by Mark St. Germain exposes the poison of prejudice and the beauty of friendship.

OUTSIDE MULLINGAR, THE WHIPPING MAN & More Set for George Street Playhouse's 2014-15 Season

Artistic Director David Saint has announced the slate of plays scheduled for the New Brunswick theatre's 2014-2015 season. George Street, which celebrated its fortieth season in 2013-14, continues the celebration with a slate of four plays ranging from direct-from New York dramas, to an a capella musical celebrating barbershop; to an examination of the Jewish faith in the years following America's Civil War. John Patrick Shanley's Outside Mullingar, direct from Broadway, opens the season in a production directed by Mr. Saint. John Markus and Mark St. Germain's a capella musical The Fabulous Lipitones follows, directed by Michael Mastro. Matthew Lopez's searing drama The Whipping Man begins 2015, followed by the 25th Anniversary Production of John Guare's Six Degrees of Separation, also directed by Mr. Saint. One additional production is yet to be selected, and will be announced at a later date.

Marg Helgenberger Stars in Barrington Stage's THE OTHER PLACE, Now thru 6/14

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, welcomes Emmy Award-winner and Golden Globe nominee Marg Helgenberger in the Berkshire premiere of Sharr White's The Other Place, kicking off BSC's 20th Anniversary Season, from tonight, May 21 through June 14 on the St. Germain Stage, directed by BSC Associate Artist Christopher Innvar.
