Kitchen Theatre Company's 25th Anniversary Season to Include BUYER & CELLAR, THE MOUNTAINTOP & More

Kitchen Theatre Company is excited to announce its 2015-2016 Season, with seven plays running September through May. They are also celebrating a big milestone - their 25th Anniversary Season and the sixth in their beautifully renovated, LEED-certified home at 417 W. State/MLK, Jr. St. in downtown Ithaca, NY. Led by Artistic Director Rachel Lampert and Managing Director Stephen Nunley, Kitchen Theatre Company is Central New York's Off-Broadway theater, a small professional Equity company producing new and modern plays. 'Important conversations happen in the Kitchen' is the motto that has defined the work of this company for over two decades and motivated the play choices in this silver anniversary season. Pacific Theatre Presents FREUD'S LAST SESSION, Now thru May 30

History and fantasy collide in this imagined meeting between two of the twentieth century's greatest minds: Sigmund Freud and CS Lewis. Pacific Theatre's production of Freud's Last Session by Mark St. Germain takes a few pieces of historical trivia and weaves them into a fascinating and compelling discourse on life's greatest questions: sex, love, the existence of God, and the meaning of life.

Bristol Riverside Theatre to Present AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, 5/12-31

Community and collaboration are the watchwords of Bristol Riverside Theatre's production of Henrik Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, running May 12-May 31. Co-directed by Susan D. Atkinson and Amy Kaissar, the high-voltage drama, which concludes BRT's Mainstage Season, features an ensemble of professional actors Keith Baker, Kevin Bergen, Mark Collmer, Brian Brillinger, Laura Giknis, Marc LeVasseur, Shamus Hunter McCarty, P. Brendan Mulvey and Sabrina Proffitt performing alongside Bucks County community members. The production is supported in part by a generous grant from PECO.

FST Announces 2015 Young Playwright's Festival Winners; Ceremony Set for 5/9

FST is proud to announce the winning plays of this year's Young Playwright's Festival. Playwrights have been hard at work creating their own original scenes, characters, and dialogue. However, these playwrights are not what you might expect - that is, they are all students ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade. FST is proud to announce that this year's winning plays have now been selected and are being presented in UNDER SIX which runs through May 22.

SPAMALOT, THE LION, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD and More Set for Geva Theatre's 2015-16 Season

Four productions still remain in Geva Theatre Center's 42nd Season: A Body of Water, Lee Blessing's play of memory and identity; The Mountaintop, a reimagining of Martin Luther King's last night on earth; the world premiere of Cass Morgan's journey to discover her roots - The Road to Where; and the season's grand finale, the laugh-out-loud comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. The 2014-2015 Season continued Geva's innovative efforts to connect patrons and artists and art with the community. The 2015-2016 Season will continue to build on that and also usher in a new era as Geva's historic home begins to undergo renovation and transformation.

Matrix Theatre Company Sets Post-Show Events for BEST OF ENEMIES

Special post-show events inspired by the themes of racial prejudice and school desegregation in Mark St. Germain's Best of Enemies are planned for Matrix Theatre Company's production opening Friday, February 20 and running Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through Sunday, March 15. All events are free with the price of admission and take place on Friday, February 20, Sunday, March 1, and Sunday, March 8 at Matrix Theatre located at 2730 Bagley in the heart of Detroit's Mexicantown.

BROKEN GLASS, BALTIMORE, BLACKBERRY WINTER and More Set for New Rep's 2015-16 Season

New Repertory Theatre announces its 2015-2016 SEASON: IDENTITY. Featuring eight productions in three theatre spaces, next season includes five plays in the Charles Mosesian Theater, beginning with Broken Glass, presented in celebration of the centennial of the birth of playwright Arthur Miller; A Number, Caryl Churchill's stark and startling drama; The Snow Queen, a new musical co-written and directed by former New Rep Artistic Director Rick Lombardo; Blackberry Winter, a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere; and Freud's Last Session, a razor-sharp, witty, and much anticipated Boston Area Premiere. Our third annual Next Rep Black Box Festival will include two companion pieces whose setting is shared, but whose time is separated by 2000 years: Via Dolorosa by David Hare and The Testament of Mary by Colm To?ibi?n. The Festival will also include the Next Rep World Premiere of Baltimore by Kirsten Greenidge, co-presented with Boston Center for American Performance (BCAP).

Matrix Theatre Company's BEST OF ENEMIES to Open 2/20

Racial prejudice and school desegregation are the themes of Matrix Theatre Company's upcoming play by Mark St. Germain opening Friday, February 20. Based on the book by Osha Gray Davidson, Best of Enemies tells the true story of the efforts of an Exalted Cyclops of the Ku Klux Klan and an African-American civil rights activist as Durham, North Carolina underwent public school desegration in 1971.

Colony Theatre Company Sets 2015-16 Season: MARY LINCOLN, THE FABULOUS LIPITONES & More

The Colony Theatre has announced the plays for its 2015-2016 season.
