San Francisco Opera presents free screenings of its latest "Opera-in-an-Hour" movie, The Barber of Seville for Families, at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on both Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, 2015 at The Children's Creativity Museum in San Francisco.

Richmond, CA, May15, 2015–The Oakland East Bay Symphony, the Craneway Pavilion, located inside the historic Ford Point Building on the waterfront in Richmond, and the City of Richmond will again join forces to host a family-friendly Independence Day Celebration led by the Oakland East Bay Symphony and Music Director Michael Morgan on Friday, July 3. The evening will also include pre-performance entertainment, food and fireworks. Craneway Pavilion, located on 25 waterfront acres, delivers spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline, with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire event space as well as a 20,000 square foot patio, perfect for viewing the City of Richmond's firework display. The event is free to the public and in the seven years since its inception has become one of the Bay Area's most popular and talked-about Independence Day Celebrations. Paid parking will be available beginning at 5 pm and access to the Craneway Pavilion and Wharf will begin at 6:30 pm. Concert sponsors include the City of Richmond and Chevron, Mechanics Bank is a contributing sponsor and KDFC is the media sponsor. The Dan Patrick Show - NBCSN's and DIRECTV's critically-acclaimed sports television show and syndicated radio program starring Football Night in America co-host Dan Patrick - will travel to Marina Del Rey, Calif., to present five days of shows next week.

The Collegiate Chorale raised more than $300,000 at its annual Spring Benefit featuring the U.S. premiere of Kurt Weill and Franz Werfel's The Road of Promise at Carnegie Hall on May 7, 2015. Proceeds will go toward The Chorale's artistic and education initiatives.

Manhattan Youth Ballet presents WITH REGARD... In Practice & Performance from May 29 & 30, 2015 at Manhattan Movement & Arts Center. In Practice & Performancewill feature world premieres by Brian Reeder, Marina Stavitskaya, Daniel Ulbricht, Frederick Earl Mosley and Natalia Boesch as well as George Balanchine's Valse Fantaisie. Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Managing Director Jeff Griffin, has announced that its upcoming production of DOCTOR FAUSTUS, adapted by David Bridel and Andrei Belgrader from the play by Christopher Marlowe, starring Chris Noth ("Law & Order," "Sex and the City," "The Good Wife"), directed by Andrei Belgrader (CSC's production of The Cherry Orchard) will extend through Sunday, July 12.  Previews will now begin Tuesday, June 2 with an official opening Thursday, June 18 at CSC (136 East 13th Street).   Joining Noth in the cast are Tony Award nominee and "The Good Wife" co-star Zach Grenier as Mephistopheles, Jeffrey Binder, Ken Cheeseman, Carmen M. Venice, Italy, May 7, 2015 – Joan Jonas's They Come to Us without a Word is presented by the MIT List Visual Arts Center in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State at the 56th International Art Exhibition - la Biennale di Venezia. Jonas, a pioneering figure in video and performance art, is occupying the entirety of the Pavilion's five galleries with a new video installation involving drawings and sculptural elements. A new performance by the artist will take place in July at the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale in Venice, with new music by Jonas's long-time sound collaborator, American jazz pianist and composer Jason Moran.
