Hennepin Theatre Trust, in partnership with Clear Channel Outdoor, announced the eight fine art portrait photographers whose work will be featured in the 2023 season of It's the People, a major outdoor public art project inspired by the exceptional, everyday people who make up our community.

Project Careaoke, a new all-volunteer organization that exists to support a variety of grassroots, underfunded Colorado nonprofits by sponsoring karaoke-themed events on their behalf, has chosen Denver Actors Fund as its first beneficiary. Hennepin Theatre Trust today announced the artists selected for the next installation of Made Here window displays in WeDo-the West Downtown Minneapolis Cultural District. Spirit: Made Here, sponsored by Andersen Windows, will feature artwork by more than 75 Minnesota artists and students, including brand new artists and internationally renowned professionals. The walkable urban art gallery will launch on Hennepin Avenue with a free, public celebration at Marin Restaurant & Bar (901 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) on Thursday, Dec. 8 from 5 to 8 p.m.

 'CONSTELLATION – UMA VIAGEM MUSICAL PELOS ANOS 50' is a nice and nostalgic journey on a Rio de Janeiro that no longer exists, directed by Jarbas Homem de Mello from text and idealization by Claudio Magnavita. The musical takes place in the Federal Capital in the 1950s, and has as its protagonist a young dreamer Regina Lucia (Julie), which through a contest sponsored by the Radio Nacional, disputes the privilege to be part of the inaugural flight of the then very modern Constellation aircraft. While craves the award, she has to live with her reality, living in a studio apartment  in Copacabana with her mother (Elizabeth Lovie) and aunt (Andrea Veiga) and to decide between living in a universe of dream and glamor or frustration.

Soprano Lisa Delan (class of 1989) will perform on the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's distinguished Alumni Recital Series tonight, February 11, 2015, at 8 p.m. Ms. Delan's program will include works by American composers John Corigliano, David Garner, Gordon Getty, Jake Heggie and Luna Pearl Woolf. She will be joined by special guests Matt Haimovitz, Christopher O'Riley and Jake Heggie. The concert, held at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's Sol Joseph Recital Hall, is dedicated to the memory of pianist Kristin Pankonin (class of 1989), alumna and former staff pianist of the Conservatory.
