Talya Lieberman, Edward Nelson and Allen Perriello Set for Schwabacher Debut Recitals, 5/3

Soprano Talya Lieberman and baritone Edward Nelson, joined on piano by former San Francisco Opera Adler Fellow Allen Perriello end the 32nd season of the Schwabacher Debut Recitals on Sunday, May 3 at Temple Emanu-El's Martin Meyer Sanctuary. The Merola Opera Program alumni will present an eclectic program showcasing works by Nico Muhly, Francis Poulenc, Henry Purcell, Franz Schubert and Kurt Weill. Also on the program, will be works of popular German lieder as well as poems by noted American female poets set to music by American composers.

Chicago, IL – (April 16, 2015) The Chicago Philharmonic announces its 2015-16 season, Chasing the Sun: Transitions and Transformations. The season explores works written by composers at moments of significant change in their lives or careers. Scott Speck leads the orchestra in his third season as artistic director.
“With a beloved masterwork, a virtuoso soloist, and a 21st century composer represented on every concert, the Chicago Philharmonic continues its adventures in direct, urgent, truly relevant music-making,” said Speck.

South Shore Conservatory's Duxbury Music Festival (DMF) launches its 10thanniversary celebration with a special kick-off weekend from May 15 through May 18, featuring two preview concerts, a volunteer planning meeting and a private reception. The Festival's celebratory season, held from July 17 through 31, will be one of sentimental renewal, featuring celebrated founding faculty members, renowned Russian pianist Oxana Yablonskaya and renowned Russian conductor/cellist Dmitry Yablonsky.
