Elephant Eye Theatrical (led by Stuart Oken, Michael Leavitt and David Fay) and Roy Furman, confirmed that Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth and have agreed to participate in a closed reading of the musical THE ADDAMS FAMILY this August in New York.

Bartlett Sher, who has received great acclaim as well as a Tony nomination and Drama Desk Award as Best Director of A Musical for the current Lincoln Center Theater production of South Pacific, will direct the new musical BRUCE LEE: JOURNEY TO THE WEST, to be produced on Broadway by Elephant Eye Theatrical. Joining Sher are Tony nominees David Yazbek (The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) composing the music and writing the lyrics and David Henry Hwang (M Butterfly, Yellow Face) penning the book.

Previews for the Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) World Premiere production of the new musical SAVED, which were scheduled to begin tonight, Friday, May 9, have been postponed due to a longer than expected tech process. Tonight's 8PM performance has been cancelled and the musical will now begin previews tomorrow evening, Saturday, May 10 at 8PM. (Please note: a matinee performance had not been scheduled for Saturday afternoon.)

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced additional casting for the sixth and final production of its 2007/2008 Season, the World Premiere of the new musical SAVED.

Producers Stuart Oken, Michael Leavitt and Five Cent Productions announced today that Elephant Eye Theatrical has reached its full capitalization of $8,000,000, added ten new strategic members and has three new musicals in advanced stages of development.

Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, writers of the 2006 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Jersey Boys, are the librettists for THE ADDAMS FAMILY, Drama Desk Award-winning composer/lyricist Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party) is writing the score, and Improbable Theater founders Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch (Shockheaded Peter) will direct and design. EET plans to premiere THE ADDAMS FAMILY in the 2009-2010 Broadway season, preceded by an out-of-town tryout.

A musical adaptation of 2004 Christian high school comedy Saved will premiere at Off-Broadway's Playwrights Horizons (Grey Gardens) in the venue's 2007-8 season.
