ABC News and National Geographic team up for 'Eclipse Across America,' a unique live event broadcasting the rare total solar eclipse. Tune in for this unprecedented celestial spectacle. The special will be anchored by “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir and “ABC News Live Prime” anchor Linsey Davis, who will be reporting from Vermont.

Oprah Winfrey hosts a sit-down conversation around the radical impact of prescription weight loss medications in the primetime event, “An Oprah Special: Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution.” The special delves into the prevailing questions and concerns surrounding the impact on our health care, economy, lifestyle and culture.

ABC News will celebrate the 96th Oscars with special programming, including the live pre-show “Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live!” on Sunday. Leading up to Hollywood's biggest night, “Good Morning America” will conduct interviews with Jimmy Kimmel, who will host the show, and Wolfgang Puck, who sets the menu for the Governors Ball.

ABC News Live Prime anchor and “World News Tonight” weekend anchor Linsey Davis and “Good Morning America” weekend co-anchor and “World News Tonight” weekend anchor Whit Johnson will host the red-carpet special at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, featuring interviews with Oscar nominees and previewing the big night.

As COVID-19 lockdowns sweep the globe, ABC News announced today that “20/20” will air its third live special in prime time anchored by David Muir on the outbreak. “America Rising: Fighting the Pandemic – A Special Edition of '20/20'” will highlight the extraordinary work by health care workers on the front lines, as well as communities, volunteers and celebrities who are all stepping up to help fight COVID-19.

ABC News announced today plans to provide special daytime coverage of COVID-19 beginning Wednesday, March 18, at 1:00 p.m. EDT/12:00 p.m. CDT on ABC, temporarily replacing episodes of “GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke,” and at 4:00 p.m. EDT on ABC News Live. With so many new questions and growing concerns about the coronavirus outbreak, “Pandemic: What You Need to Know,” anchored by Amy Robach with the latest health and safety guidance from ABC News' chief medical correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton, will address the widespread issues caused by the global pandemic and offer solutions from those adjusting to a new way of life.

As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to unfold, ABC News' “20/20” will air a live one-hour special on the latest news, developments and people affected by the virus and widespread changes sweeping the nation.

ABC News' “20/20” stood as Friday's No. 1 newsmagazine, outdelivering NBC's “Dateline” by double digits in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+13% – 4.3 million vs. 3.8 million), Adults 18-49 (+17% - 0.7/4 vs. 0.6/3) and Adults 25-54 (+11% - 1.0/5 vs. 0.9/4).  In fact, “20/20” ranked as Friday's No. 1 telecast overall in Adults 25-54.

Beginning tonight, ABC News' “Nightline” will devote its show fully to continual coverage of COVID-19. “Nightline” will take a distinctive look at the global and domestic effects of the coronavirus outbreak from testing and quarantined cases to business, labor and politics. Coverage will feature reporting from ABC News' network of correspondents around the globe, newsmaker interviews, viewer questions answered by ABC News chief medical correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton, analysis and expert insight on the latest developments, and more. The program's move to single-topic coverage is a return to its roots when “Nightline” launched 40 years ago with daily news updates on the Iran hostage crisis.
