Live & In Color returns to Salem, CT this September celebrating its 9th season of developing new and inclusive works of art. Live & In Color is an innovative theatrical program during which artists spend time in a rural retreat setting creating work that gives voice to underrepresented communities onstage in the beautiful and inspiring setting of the Bingham Camp.

The June Bingham New Playwright Commission honors the legacy of the late artist and playwright, June Bingham, by providing support to a new generation of early-career women/femme and/or non-binary storytellers as they seek to create work that manifests change in the world. Director and Arts Leader, Abigail Grubb, serves as the Program's Director and Co-Founder alongside Live & In Color's Artistic Director and June Bingham's nephew, Devanand Janki.

Casting has been announced for PrideArts’ first production of 2023 - the Chicago premiere of one in two by Donja R. Love.

But, every Say Goodnight, Gracie is different. Richmond Triangle Players continues its 29th season with Donja R. Love's powerful and evocative Sugar in Our Wounds. The show will preview on Wednesday and Thursday April 20 and 21st, open on April 22, and will run through Saturday May 14. 

As part of their 99th Season, Old Academy Players will premiere the drama Vernal Rites as a mainstage production for 2021-2022. Vernal Rites, written by former Provincetown, Massachusetts resident (and current Bucks County resident), Rob Rosiello, was inspired by his experiences and the people he met while living on Cape Cod.

The Civilians, the award-winning New York-based theater company, presents the ninth annual R&D Group FINDINGS Series. 

Following its sold-out, world-premiere run at Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Artistic Director) in November 2018 and its successful bow in Rome, Italy via the OnStage! American Theater Festival in January 2019, Frank J. Avella's Lured was selected to play eight performances at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival in May 2020.

Richmond Triangle Players continues its spring season with the Virginia premiere of Donja R. Love's acclaimed new play Sugar in Our Wounds, opening Friday April 3, 2020, at 8 pm, following two low-priced previews on Wednesday and Thursday, April 1 & 2, at 8 pm. The production, underwritten by Sharon Larkins-Pederson in honor of her husband Edson Pederson's birthday and their 20th wedding anniversary, will run through April 25.

Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Director, presents They Came to the Castle: Immigrants, a Tenor and Lola Montez, a new play by Barbara Kahn, directed by Robert Gonzales Jr. and Barbara Kahn. Featuring Robert Gonzales Jr, Vilma Hodo, Christopher Lowe, Lisa Monde, Crosbie Roper, Aristotle Stamat, Leila Stricker, Lera Vital.

Raquel Almazan has been named the President of the Indie Theater Fund Board of Directors, replacing Susan Bernfield who has moved into an Advisory Board role.

The La Paloma Prisoner Project is Raquel Almaƶán's theatre and outreach project about the reclamation of identity by incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women, and sharing those stories through workshops, advocacy and community partnerships. Developed from her longstanding work with incarcerated and impacted communities, the associated play, LA PALOMA PRISONER, directed by Estefanía Fadul, will have its World Premiere at Next Door @ New York Theatre Workshop (79 East 4th Street between Bowery & 2nd Avenue) alongside a series of initiatives aimed at raising awareness and inciting action towards the end of global mass incarceration. Today Keen Company Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced his plans for Keen's Playwrights Lab, including readings from this year's participants as well as the playwrights for the 2020 Lab.

Tony Award-winner Elizabeth Ashley and Tony Award-nominee Penny Fuller will star in a reading of Wharton/Williams, a work based on the short stories of novelist Edith Wharton and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tennessee Williams. Adapted by award-winning playwright/librettist Charles Leipart, Wharton/Williams will be directed by Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award-winner Michael Wilson.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre (KCRep), announced the full schedule for this season's popular Monday Night Playwright Series, which opened with BURIED ROOTS, its first play of the series, on Monday. The series features a line-up of new and returning playwrights including Michelle Tyrene Johnson, Darren Canady, James Still, Migdalia Cruz, Mashuq Mushtaq Deen and Ellen McLaughlin. These free public events take place on the UMKC campus at the Spencer Theatre Donor Lounge.

The world premiere dramedy Nancy F***ing Reagan opens on July 12 at the Secret Rose Theatre in North Hollywood, where performances will continue through August 4, is being presented by Judith Taranto, written by Daniel Hurewitz and directed by Larry Margo.
