Broadway's Beanie Feldstein has joined the cast of Focker-In-Law, the upcoming fourth installment in the Meet the Parents comedy series. Feldstein will star in the movie alongside Wicked star Ariana Grande as well as original cast members Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo.

Due to scheduling conflicts, I was able to avail myself of only a small sampling of the W71 events during the first weekend of programming. We attended a performance of MANY HAPPY RETURNS at 11am and Tennessee Williams’ CAMINO REAL at 2pm. We had time between to enjoy lunch and a bit of shopping on Spring Street. The performances were very well done, a bit non-traditional, and without a doubt up to the long standing and well-established standards / expectations associated with the WTF. Bravo to all involved in the resurrection of this Phoenix from the Ashes. Although, admittedly once skeptical (I am a former New Yorker) I am happy to highly recommend immersion in the newly re-imagined Williamstown Theatre Festival. You will have to move quickly though as W71 runs only through August 3. That said, I am already looking forward to what W72 will bring us in the Summer of 2026.

Among the most highly anticipated theatrical events in St. Louis this summer is the mainstage production at the Tennessee Williams Festival St. Louis (TWSTL.) In celebration of their 10th Anniversary Season, TWSTL is staging William’s seminal work A Streetcar Named Desire.  

At the end of May, it was announced that Ariana Grande had been cast in her first project post-Wicked: a new Meet the Parents sequel. In a recent interview with the TODAY Show, cast members Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, and Teri Polo teased the movie, specifically Grande's role.

Richard Chamberlain, renowned for his roles in 'The Thorn Birds' and 'Shogun,' has died at 90. Chamberlain, celebrated for his versatility in film, theater, and television, passed away on March 29th, 2025, in Waimanalo, HI, following a stroke. His career spanned decades, earning him numerous accolades, including Golden Globes for his performances.

Operation Mincemeat's retro, 1940s-style marquee was unlit for first preview, as a result of President Donald Trump’s ongoing trade policies, but it was finally illuminated after last evening’s performance at the Golden Theatre. Check out a photo and video here!

Dan Duling’s Tesla: A Radio Play for the Stage opens October 4, 2024, for five performances only as part of the Getty-led PST ART: Art & Science Collide Festival.
