LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & McCOY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT (celebrating its 25thSilver Anniversary at the theatre) in association with T&D Productions, LLC are thrilled to present Mary Bridget Davies, Broadway's original "Janis" starring in her Tony nominated performance A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN, with choreography by Patricia Wilcox, musical direction by Brent Crayon, and created, written & directed by Randy Johnson. But when the city threatens to close the shelter, Eddie must do something he's never done before - stand up for himself and fight for what's right. Acting is hard.  The ability to lay yourself bare night after night, emotionally (and sometimes physically)  is something that does not come easily to most people.  Add into that the ability to react honestly to your acting partners, even though you may know their lines better than they do.
