The Chicago company of Jersey Boys will place a new block of tickets on-sale to the public Friday, January 23 at 10 a.m. for performances April 14 - July 12, 2009. Tickets are available at all Broadway In Chicago Box Offices (24 W. Randolph St., 151 W. Randolph St. and 18 W. Monroe St.); the Broadway In Chicago Ticket Line at (312) 902-1400; all Ticketmaster retail locations (including Hot Tix and select Carson Pirie Scott, Coconuts and fye stores); and online at Presented by Broadway In Chicago and TheatreDreams, the blockbuster hit Jersey Boys is celebrating its second smash year in Chicago. Jersey Boys, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, premiered in Chicago on October 5, 2007 and became a resident production on February 27, 2008. The show is currently playing at the Bank of America Theatre (18 W. Monroe St.) in an open run. Jersey Boys tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty. Directed by two-time Tony Award? - winner Des McAnuff, Jersey Boys won both the 2006 Tony Award? for Best Musical and the 2006 Grammy Award? for Best Musical Recording, and continues to break box office records on Broadway and in Chicago. Jersey Boys is written by Academy Award? - winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.
