International film star Orlando Bloom will make his Broadway debut alongside Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad, as Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers in a new Broadway production of the timeless love story ROMEO AND JULIET, directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux. The show will open on Broadway on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, following preview performances from Saturday, August 24, 2013. In Verona, there is a house that claims to have belonged to the Capulet family, boasting the balcony and courtyard made so famous by Shakespeare. Upon entering the house, there is a wall that is now lovingly known as 'Juliet's Wall'. Thousands of people every year write their names and the names of their loved ones on the face of wall, believing it will make their love and relationships eternal and everlasting, like the love of Romeo and Juliet. The Richard Rodgers Theatre will boast its own 'Juliet's Wall', located on the front of the theatre, and Bloom and Rashad were the first to sign it.
