The Panhandlers have announced a run of tour dates next January. Highly anticipated by the band and fans alike. The short tour will take the band to Denver, Oklahoma City, Houston, Dallas and more. Formed in 2019, The Panhandlers consists of singers/songwriters Josh Abbott, John Baumann, William Clark Green and Flatland Cavalry’s Cleto Cordero. 

Brought to you by The Monroe County Tourist Development Council, next year’s festival includes fan favorite headliners and artists-to-watch such as Randy Rogers Band, Morgan Wade, Shane Smith & the Saints, Wade Bowen, Josh Abbott Band, Tanner Usrey, Kaitlin Butts, Red Clay Strays and William Beckmann with more lineup announcements to come.

Rising country star Warren Zeiders extends his Pretty Little Poison headlining tour. The 23 new dates will feature A Thousand Horses as tour support and kick off September 15 in Buffalo, NY, and include Warren’s first headlining show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. 

Born & Raised, the Outlaw, Texas and Red Dirt country music and camping experience at the Pryor Creek Music Festival Grounds in Pryor, Oklahoma, the long-standing home of Rocklahoma, will take place this year Thursday, September 14th, Friday, September 15th, and Saturday, September 16th with a festival pre-party on Wednesday, September 13th.

The American Academy of Arts and Letters announced the two recipients of the 2023 Richard Rodgers Awards for Musical Theater. Both winning musicals will receive funds toward their presentation in staged readings at nonprofit theaters in New York City.

In a small town on the Snake River in Washington, two young men from wildly different backgrounds discover a common connection while stocking shelves together on the night shift at Costco in Samuel D. Hunter’s “Clarkston”, coming to Catskill’s Bridge Street Theatre for eight performances only April 28 – May 8, 2022.

Born & Raised will also feature The BBQ Ranch, curated by legendary Pitmaster Wayne Mueller. Located within the festival grounds, this smokehouse experience will feature cooking demonstrations, a full cash bar, and mouth-watering smoked meat.

Traveling Lantern Theater Company has announced virtual performances.

Forward Theater Company returns to the stage and will present a live  performance to digital audiences with Lewiston/Clarkston by Samuel D. Hunter. The  filmed version of this two-play experience will be streaming online via overture.org  beginning April 9th and runs through April 25th.  

Opening night of the second play of the Shoreside’s 25th Summer Shakespeare in the Park  – and it’s a comedy through and through.

Singer-songwriters Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis’ annual Holiday Shindig this year has a twist. 

Texas-based singer-songwriter John Baumann has had an eventful year. He released his full-length album Country Shade in June, and also joined The Panhandlers with fellow Texans Josh Abbott, William Clark Green and Cleto Cordero. Never one to slow down, he’s wrapping up the year with the release of A/B Sessions: Vol. 1, out today.
