How long does 'Happily Ever After' last? This fall the Arvada Center honors the late, great Stephen Sondheim with a unique take on his immensely popular musical, Into the Woods. The production runs September 9 - October 9, 2022.

Theater maker and community-based artist Ryan Conarro will perform his interdisciplinary performance work Saints of Failure as a site-specific production inside the sanctuary of Denver's Historic Grant Avenue Church & Sacred Space (216 South Grant Street) April 16-17 and April 23-24 at 7:30pm.

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 14th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, located at 10075 Commons St. Lone Tree, CO 80124. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by a catered reception at the Lone Tree Arts Center. The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities continues the third season of its critically acclaimed Black Box Repertory on March 15, 2019, with the world premiere of Sin Street Social Club, a comedic adaptation about women discovering their destinies on the swinging streets of 1916 New Orleans written by Colorado creative Jessica Austgen and directed by Lynne Collins.  This production is underwritten by Diana and Mike Kinsey.  The 2018 - 2019 Theatre Season Presenting Sponsor is Lutheran Medical Center.

Arvada Center productions, directors, actors, and designers were recognized on July 23 at the Colorado Theatre Guild's 13th annual Henry Awards. The Arvada Center won or tied for eight of the 29 nominations it received, including three awards for Sense and Sensibility, directed by Lynne Collins. The 29 nominations were also the most nominations netted by a Colorado theatre in the history of the awards. The Center received the evening's highest honor - Outstanding Season for a Theatre Company - for the first time since 2012. After hearing that very line for years, you would think I would have picked up a copy or have listened to A Chorus Line by now. As silly as this sounds I didn't. However I am very thrilled to say that I was happy to have my first experience with this musical be at the Arvada's Center For Performing Art's on it's opening night Tuesday Evening.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will open its 42nd theatre season with the hit Broadway musical A Chorus Line directed by Rod A. Lansberry, on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. A Chorus Line spans one day in the lives of 17 dancers all vying for a coveted spot in the chorus of a Broadway musical. Considered groundbreaking when it opened on Broadway in 1975, the musical went on to win nine Tony Awards and the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Today, it remains as touching and powerful as when it debuted and is one of the longest running musicals on Broadway. The 2017 - 2018 Theatre Season is sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center. A Chorus Line is underwritten byDr. and Mrs. Richard A. Patt and The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will finish its 2016 - 2017 Black Box season with Waiting for Godot, directed by Geoffrey Kent, opening Friday, April 21, 2017. Waiting for Godot was written by Samuel Beckett, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1969. The play is perhaps the most iconic tragicomedy on the stage and has been described as the most significant English language play of the 20th century.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will continue its 2016 - 2017 Black Box season with Bus Stop, directed by Allison Watrous, opening Friday, February 24, 2017. Bus Stop is written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright William Inge, known for his portraits of small-town life in America's heartland. A drama infused with comedy and honesty, the play was nominated for four Tony Awards when it opened in 1955. 

Local Theater Company, under the artistic leadership of Pesha Rudnick, kicks off its fifth season of presenting new works in Boulder, Colorado, with the world premiere of The Firestorm by Meridith Friedman. Set during a heated political season, the production begins previews at the new Dairy Arts Center today, October 13. Opening night is set for Sunday, October 16. The show runs through Sunday, November 13.
