Full Cast Announced For TheatreWorks' World Premiere of A DISTINCT SOCIETY


TheatreWorks Silicon Valley has announced full casting for World Premiere of A Distinct Society, presented in association with Pioneer Theatre Company. In this moving play by Kareem Fahmy, a quiet library that straddles the United States and Canada becomes the battlefield for border control.

THE REVOLUTIONISTS Comes to Wellfleet This Month


Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater proudly presents The Revolutionists by Lauren Gunderson, directed by Megan Nussle. Performances are Tuesdays through Sundays, August 27 - September 17 on the Julie Harris Stage. Performances are at 8 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Preview performances at 7:30 p.m. on August 25 and 26 are discounted and open to the public.

Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison's first novel comes to life at the Wells Theatre. The Bluest Eye, directed by Khanisha Foster, follows the story of young Pecola in 1940's Ohio who is pregnant at her father's hands. She is taken in by a loving family and cared for by brilliant and kind sisters, Frieda and Claudia. The character-driven play, both poetic and daringly funny, illuminates the destructive powers of racism and class dynamics while exploring the power of community through exquisite storytelling. The Bluest Eye is produced in collaboration with Norfolk State University Theatre Company.

Rutgers Student to Lead World Premiere of MY JANE at Chester Theatre Company


Chester Theatre Company (CTC) has announced the casting for its 2016 season opener, the World Premiere of My Jane by Producing Artistic Director Daniel Elihu Kramer. My Jane, a contemporary exploration of Charlotte Bronte?'s sweeping novel Jane Eyre, opens June 29th and plays through July 10, 2016, at Chester's historic Town Hall, 15 Middlefield Road in Chester, MA. Camila Cano?-Flavia? will be making her professional debut in the title role of Jane.
