Greenhouse Theater Center and Proxy Theatre present the Midwest premiere of MIDSUMMER (A Play with Songs), written by Scottish playwright David Greig, with music by indie-favorite Gordon McIntyre and direction by Randy White. MIDSUMMER will play September 4 – October 6, 2019 in The Greenhouse Theater Center's Downstairs Main Stage, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago.

P. Brendan Mulvey, who has appeared in The Media Theatre's Titanic and Show Boat, will be given the Walter M. Strine Award at the theatre's annual Gala on Saturday evening, February 25. The annual award, named after the entrepreneur who revitalized the theatre in 1994 so that a professional music theatre would be a cornerstone of Media borough, will be given to Mulvey prior to the celebratory evening's concert by legendary Tony nominee Andrea McArdle. The honor is given to an individual who keeps the spirit of Mr. Strine alive with their consistent support and advocacy of The Media Theatre.
