Just over a year ago, I reviewed 1st Stage's production of N. Richard Nash's 'The Rainmaker,' about a conman offering hope to a drought-racked farm family. Now, the Tyson's Corner-based company is presenting another story of hope, love, and determination in the prairies.

The weather forecast was for storms, possibly a tornado. The actress scheduled to play the lead role wasn't going to perform. Cars stood at odd angels blocking spaces in the parking lot. But, in reality, none of this mattered. Opening night for Quilters, the first show after a year of theatrical darkness, went off like a charm.

'Quilters' the story of a pioneer woman and her seven daughters will be presented at the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) from Tuesday, March 24, through Sunday, March 29.

WAITRESS, which begins performances at the Brooks Atkinson on March 25th, is making history!
