Brooklyn Ballet's annual production of 'The Brooklyn Nutcracker' continues to grow with new scenes and live music. The production features a ballet/hip hop mash-up and dances from various cultures. This year, the role of the Rat King is originated by 'Krump King' Brian Hallowdreamz Henry.

Brooklyn Ballet's programming is ever-expanding, embracing multifaceted dance styles and refashioning historical works. April's offerings include works of legendary dance makers George Balanchine, Merce Cunningham, Isadora Duncan and Michel Fokine, as well as premieres of mixed genre and interdisciplinary works by Artistic Director Lynn Parkerson. Kathleen Turner is thrilling metro area audiences in her role as the Almighty One in 'An Act of God' at George Street Playhouse. Written by David Javerbaum, and expertly directed by the Playhouse's Artistic Director, David Saint, this wildly amusing, yet thought provoking show is mesmerizing. See it while it is on the GSP stage through December 23rd.
