The Franklin Stage Company, Delaware County's renowned professional summer theater, has been awarded a Support for Artists Grant for the commission of a new play with a working title of Wakeman and Toliver, written by Kyle Bass. Mr. Bass is the author of Possessing Harriet, which FSC produced during their 2019 summer season.

Franklin Stage Company in Franklin, NY announced today that the company has received grant awards totalling $69,500 from the New York State Council on the Arts for 3 grants for the 2022 fiscal year. Following New York State's $105 million investment in the arts for FY2022, NYSCA has awarded more than $80 million since June 2021.

Franklin Stage Company will close its 2021 season with New York actor Evan Zes' solo show Rent Control August 27–29 outdoors on the lawn at Chapel Hall in Franklin, NY. An alternate rain space will be used inside Chapel Hall, if needed.

Franklin Stage Company will present Doktor Kaboom: Random Acts of Science! July 16-18 at Chapel Hall in Franklin, NY.  Billed as a science comedy, Doktor Kaboom uses inquiry, curiosity and live on-stage experiments to empower, inspire and entertain young and old alike. 

For their 25th-season performance opener, the Franklin Stage Company presents a concert featuring Ghanaian master drummer Kwaku Kwaakye Obeng and Cameroonian singer Gino Sitson whose music blends jazz, gospel, blues, and traditional African polyrhythms and melodies in exciting, innovative ways.

Franklin Stage Company opens their 2021 summer season with an art exhibit entitled Franklin Stage Company and the Evolution of Chapel Hall. An opening party to celebrate the exhibit, which will be permanently installed in the lobby and theater at Chapel Hall, will be held from 3-5 pm on Saturday, July 3, and is open to the public and free of charge.

The Franklin Stage Company has announced the lineup of their 25th season, from July 4th weekend through August 29. All performances will be held on the lawn outside the theater. The season will open July 3rd with an opening reception for an art exhibit titled Franklin Stage Company and the Evolution of Chapel Hall.

Franklin Stage Co. is one of this year's Preserve New York (PNY) grantees. Their grant of $5,200 will fund a Building Condition Report of their historic building, Chapel Hall. The Preservation League of NYS and their program partners at the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) are thrilled to help fund this important work.

Zabelle, Nancy Kricorian's award-winning novel about one woman's survival of the Armenian Genocide, is being produced by Egg & Spoon as part of its third season. The piece was originally created and produced at Syracuse University's Department of Drama in 2015. It was directed and adapted by Leslie Noble, a professor in the department, and devised by an ensemble of four performance students: Sarineh Garapetian, Julián Garnik, Catherine Giddings, and Lindsey Newton.

Off-Off Broadway's Egg & Spoon Theatre Collective has announced its 2019-2020 Season, to be produced at SoHo's historic Access Theater. It is the third season for Egg & Spoon, since being founded in 2017 by a handful of Syracuse University graduates.
