Expanded Theatre Rraining Classes for Children with Autism Among MPAC's Fall Course Offerings


A variety of classes in musical theater, acting, theatre dance technique and vocal training will be available for children beginning at age 5 through age 18. Classes begin September 19 and run through mid-January. Classes are offered on Mondays-Thursdays and Saturdays at the Theatre. Cost for classes begins at $300, depending on the length and type of the class.

The Miracle Project's Arts Programs Deemed Official Therapies for Autism


The inclusive music, theater and film programs of The Miracle Project have been officially named as evidence-based therapies for autism, according to the International Journal of Education and Social Science, meaning they are no longer just anecdotally helpful for children and adults with autism, but clinically helpful with anxiety, social skills and more, similar to the threshold met by other proven therapies such as behavior therapy, applied behavior analysis, social skills training or occupational therapy.

The inclusive music, theater and film programs of The Miracle Project have been officially named as evidence-based therapies for autism, according to the International Journal of Education and Social Science.

The Miracle Project to Perform for UN Event on World Autism Awareness Day


The Miracle Project, a renowned autism and arts nonprofit, will be welcomed by the United Nations to present and perform during the celebration of World Autism Awareness Day at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on March 31, 2017, culminating with a performance at 12:30pm. It will be the Miracle Project's record fourth time participating in this event within a decade.

Ask any Jewish man, woman or child to describe a favorite memory and the response will likely to be a story about family, friends and food.  The sights, sounds, and smells all have special meaning, but it is memories of the tastes that bring the most smiles.  Food and Jewish life have been inseparable throughout history. The Old Testament says the Israelites celebrated their newfound freedom from the Pharaoh with a communal meal of roast lamb and herbs. Even since then, Jewish people and food have been linked symbolically and socially. "Ess my kind" is a universal anthem.
