Casting has been confirmed for The Exorcist's eagerly anticipated run at Theatre Royal next month.

The full cast has been announced for the UK and Ireland tour of The Exorcist, starring national treasure and BAFTA Award Winner, Paul Nicholas, most recognised for playing the role of Vince Pinner in the celebrated British sitcom Just Good Friends, who will play Father Merin. Alongside Paul will be TV star Sophie Ward, best known for her roles in Holby City and Heartbeat playing Chris MacNeil, and household name Ben Caplan best known for his time as Sgt. Peter Noakes in Call the Midwife, who will play Father Damien. This talented trio will lead the cast for the UK and Ireland tour of the spine-tingling live production of The Exorcist, based on the best-selling novel by William Peter Blatty.

The Australian Ballet's gigantic, award-winning, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland©, returns to Melbourne this year for a limited, exclusive season from 8 to 22 June at Arts Centre Melbourne.

Kneehigh's production of Noel Coward's BRIEF ENCOUNTER, adapted and directed by Emma Rice, has been extended due to overwhelming public demand and will now run at the Empire Cinema Haymarket in London's West End until 9 September 2018, ahead of a World tour in 2019. Tickets are on sale today, Thursday 10 May.

Emma Rice begins her association with the Old Vic by reviving her version of Brief Encounter. It has recently been performed at the Birmingham Rep (where it first began life 11 years ago) and the Lowry in Salford, but now makes a return to the West End for a run at the Empire Cinema. The screen has been specially adapted to suit a theatre production, with a stage added in for the occasion.

It is announced today that Ian McKellen will feature in the West End premiere of The Exorcist as the voice of the Demon.

On March 16, 2015, the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle announced its winners and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura County theater in the year 2014.
