Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) has announced four top-tier early-career musicians have been selected for its Los Angeles Orchestra Fellowship, a prestigious program sponsored by LACO in partnership with the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (ICYOLA) that engages members of historically underrepresented groups in western classical music ensembles.

Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival marks its 40th summer season in 2023. Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF) presents the Rolston String Quartet winner of the 2016 Banff International String Quartet Competition and current Quartet-in-Residence at the Yale School of Music on Thursday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. at South Oxford Space in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. At first it was unconscious, then by design: the 34th season of the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, Long Island's longest-running classical music festival, has something of a water theme.

Under the baton of music director conductor George Rothman, Riverside Symphony will present the second installment of its 2016-17 season at Alice Tully Hall on Saturday evening, January 28. From Jacques Ibert's effervescent Parisian Music Hall time (Divertissement) to Juan Trigos' endearingly brash bass concerto, a confident assimilation of high and low culture, to a wittily buoyant, little-known Haydn symphony, the program shows composers in a largely (though by no means exclusively) carefree musical state of mind.
