Bristol School of Acting has announced a complete season of theatre productions staged at Bristol's Tobacco Factory Theatres this autumn. 

Global superstar Natalia Osipova, Principal of the Royal Ballet, is to star in a brand new, contemporary dance production of 'CARMEN' on May 27th and 28th at London's Southbank Centre.  Multi award-winning Osipova will perform the title role in an imaginative new version of the classic tale devised by internationally renowned choreographer and director Didy Veldman.   

Rehearsals begin today for Giles Terera’s debut stage play The Meaning of Zong, co-directed by Giles Terera and Tom Morris.

A Thousand Splendid Suns, Khaled Hosseini's spiritual sequel to The Kite Runner will have its European premiere at Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 2 - 18 May before playing at partner venues Northern Stage (30 May - 15 June) and Nuffield Southampton Theatres (25 June - 6 July). The show will also tour to Hackney Empire (22 -25 May).

Edmond de Bergerac, Alexis Michalik's hilarious comedy and French theatre phenomenon, will have its UK premiere at Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 15 30 March with a star cast led by Freddie Fox as Edmond Rostand, alongside Henry Goodman as Constant Coquelin, Josie Lawrence as Sarah Bernhardt and Chizzy Akudolu as Maria.

Stand Up To Cancer's sixth biennial telecast on Friday, Sept. 7 (8:00 – 9:00 p.m. EDT/PDT), has added more names to its star-studded lineup. Jason Bateman, Beth Behrs, Julie Bowen, Josh Brolin, Kaley Cuoco, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Max Greenfield, Jon Hamm, Mark Harmon, Sarah Hyland, Adam Klein, Tyler Labine, Diego Luna, Sonequa Martin-Green, Dave Price, Keanu Reeves, Tracee Ellis Ross, Winona Ryder, Jimmy Smits, Eric Stonestreet, Alison Sweeney, Bree Turner, Sofia Vergara and Marlon Wayans are coming together in the fight against cancer. They join an extraordinary list of previously announced participants including Mahershala Ali, Kathy Bates, Katie Couric, Jennifer Garner, Tony Hale, Marg Helgenberger, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, Marlee Matlin, Matthew McConaughey, Maria Menounos, Jillian Michaels, Trevor Noah, Dak Prescott, Italia Ricci, Rob Riggle, Karla Souza, David Spade and Keith Urban. Theatre for a New Audience kicks off its 2018-2019 season with the U.S. premiere of The Emperor, featuring virtuosic shape-shifting actor Kathryn Hunter and Ethiopian musician Temesgen Zeleke, founder of Krar Collective. Walter Meierjohann directs this parable about power in decline-an adaptation by Colin Teevan of Ryszard Kapuscinski's celebrated and controversial 1978 book of the same title, about the downfall of Ethiopian emperor Haile Selassie.
