The Amazon Literary Partnership has announced that Ucross received a grant to support its program and operations. Ucross is among the list of 93 Amazon Literary Partnership Grant Recipients this year. In 2023, the Amazon Literary Partnership awarded nearly $1 million in funding to literary nonprofit organizations.

Decca Classics has announced Jessye Norman – The Unreleased Masters, showcasing never-before-heard recordings of one of the greatest classical singers of all time. The set, out on January 27, 2023, includes an extraordinary performance of Tristan und Isolde with Ms. Norman performing the multiple roles of Isolde and Brangäne, Wagner and Strauss song cycles, and a live recording of an eclectic program of cantatas by Haydn, Berlioz and Britten.

Ucross Announces A Special Residency For Black Poets

​​​​​​​Ucross and Cave Canem have joined forces to present a literary fellowship that provides creative support to Black poets. The 2022 Toi Derricotte Residency at Ucross has been awarded to interdisciplinary poet S. Erin Batiste of Brooklyn, New York. 

New Leadership Announced At Ucross

Ucross, the prestigious artist residency program in northern Wyoming, ushered in a new era of leadership this month. On April 1, William (Bill) Belcher took the helm as president, and he has appointed Vickie Abbott as managing director. Ensuring a smooth transition, former Ucross president Sharon Dynak will continue with the organization part-time as a creative advisor.

National Endowment For The Art Gives Ucross $100,000 Grant

Ucross has announced that the nonprofit has been approved to receive an American Rescue Plan grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to help the arts and cultural sector recover from the pandemic. 

MONIFF's VODOO MACBETH to Screen at New Park Theatre

The Monadnock 9th Annual Film Festival will present a new film about the staging of the first all-Black production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The critically acclaimed film drama, Voodoo Macbeth, will screen at The Park Theatre in Jaffrey, NH as part of the MONIFF festival on Friday, October 22 at 7 pm.

Jorden Morris, the current Choreographer-in-Residence, has been appointed as Guest Artistic Director for Orlando Ballet's 2021-22 season.
