San Francisco, CA, August 4, 2015 – Artistic Director and choreographer Charles Anderson's award-winning Company C Contemporary Ballet will present the world premiere of his new, evening-length story ballet, Arcane: A Tale of All Hallows' Eve in seven performances October 24-31 at the Cowell Theater in San Francisco. The production features an original story and choreography by Anderson, a commissioned musical score by Mike Krisukas of Zen for Primates, steam punk-inspired set and lighting designs by Patrick Toebe and the costumes by Laura Hazlet and will be performed by a company of 16 dancers, 9 musicians and narrator. Programmed in collaboration with Met Museum Presents, and titled Jazz & Colors: The Full Spectrum Edition, renowned jazz musicians will once again perform in various iconic Met spaces for a dynamic evening of sublime entertainment tonight, April 24, at 6:00 and 7:30 p.m.

Accomplished jazz clarinetist and tenorman, Frank Griffith travels from England to Lancaster to perform two unique concerts tonight, April 17 and Saturday, April 18. His performance on April 17 is promised to wrap up the Ware Center's season of the Jazz in the Sky performances on a high note. The concert begins at 7:30 pm at the Ware Center located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster. On Saturday, April 18 at 7:30 pm, Frank Griffith will join the 10th Annual Single Reed Symposium and finish the evening as a guest artist in the Jazz & Java concert on campus at Gordinier Hall located at 40 S. Two of the area's most highly acclaimed jazz musicians, pianist Steve Rudolph and saxophonist Tim Warfield, will headline a night of cabaret-style entertainment Friday, Oct. 17, at the Ware Center of Millersville University in Lancaster, to kick off the season's 'Jazz in the Sky' concert series at the Ware Center. The concert, which starts at 7:30 p.m., will take place in the Ware Center's newly renamed Owen Salon, and is being dedicated to the late Keith Mohler, who had been a fixture in Lancaster's jazz scene and past programmer of three years of the 'Jazz in the Sky' concert series.

David Basse began his professional music career in 1969, when his parents trusted the neighbors to keep an eye on him while they vacationed in California. Basse seized that opportunity and turned it into a six-night gig at a local cocktail lounge with a band named "Carroll Lee and the Moonlighters". This gig was the first small step in mastering many styles of drumming and subsequently learning to sing from the drumset. He stayed with Lee for the next three years, earning his way through high school and onto the road at age 17. In 1974, he landed in Kansas City, after gigs in Denver, Nashville, New Orleans, Winnipeg Manitoba, a trip to LA and various teenaged forays throughout the United States.

Blue Note Jazz Club, the iconic Greenwich Village jazz and blues venue that offers live musical performances every night of the week, is proud to announce an impressive roster of acts this October.
