Join the wildest party in town as The Nitz/Howe Experience kicks off its 25th season at Davenport's on November 11th.

Hailed as 'the best party in town,' by New York's Cabaret Scenes Magazine, The Nitz/ Howe Experience marked a major milestone in September, 2019. Celebrating its 20th year anniversary, with over 1200 shows at their home base of Chicago's Davenport's, it became the longest running cabaret show in the country.

The end may be in sight for the summer travel season, but Avon Players' upcoming musical will whisk theatre-goers away to an idyllic setting for infectious pop tunes, sun-drenched romance, and nonstop fun with Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus' Mamma Mia!, running September 6-21.

The Idea Fund, a re-granting program administered by a partnership of DiverseWorks, Aurora Picture Show, and Project Row Houses and funded by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, is thrilled to announce the Round Ten (2018) TIF jury awarded a total of $50,000 to the following artists: Pamela Council; Bill Davenport; Brian PlutoLenz Ellison; Failure to Con/Form (Ching-In Chen, Jorge Galvan Flores, Cassie Mira Nicholson, John Pluecker, Addie Tsai) Sebastian Gomez de la Torre; Alex Goss; Shana Hoehn; jenaeveeve; Nick Vaughan and Jake Margolin; Monica Villarreal; and Laura Wellen.

More than a century after the disaster, the story of the "unsinkable" Titanic continues to capture the public's imagination.  With lush music and gripping drama, Avon Players kicks off its 71st season with the musical depiction of the tragedy, Titanic running September 8-23.

Now on stage at the beautiful Baldwin Theatre in Royal Oak is Stagecrafters' current production, The Wizard of Oz. This mega musical finishes out a highly successful season for the amazingly talented group. If you are looking for something different from Judy Garland's version, this one has just the right amount of difference to make it interesting without losing the magic of the L. Frank Baum story.

Lifetime has picked up the scripted series Un-Real, ordering 10 episodes, it was announced today by Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Lifetime. Produced by A+E Studios and from Marti Noxon (Mad Men, Fright Night) and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro (Sequin Raze), the dark comedy gives a behind-the-scenes look at the chaos surrounding the production of a dating competition program. Un-Real will become the first scripted series fully financed and controlled by A+E Studios. A+E Networks will handle global sales for Un-Real.
