Landmark has joined the Arts Council National Portfolio as a major new curating and creating theatre organisation working initially in North Devon and Peterborough.  The new organisation has been brought into being through an innovative partnership led by Paul Jepson and David Hutchinson.

The Pleasance Theatre Trust presents the 2022 Edinburgh National Partnerships, a feast of new work from vibrant theatre makers and performers from across the UK at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Kicking off the 6th Annual Nike Basketball 3ON3 Tournament Presented by NBC4 at L.A. LIVE, Josh Hutcherson, star of The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay will host the 3rd annual Josh Hutcherson Celebrity Basketball Game Benefiting Straight But Not Narrow (SBNN), an ally organization that prepares and trains young adults on how to become allies of their LGBTQ peers.

THE LYONS, which opened at the Santa Fe Playhouse on March 27, is aptly described by director, Janet Davidson, as a 'dramedy.' The subject matter is definitely the stuff of drama, but playwright Nicky Silver delivers it with fast-paced wit and no-holds-barred humor. This is a black comedy that keeps you laughing, in spite of yourself, even as the dramas are unfolding on the stage.

For the first time ever, The Oscars preshow and full awards telecast will stream live for verified WATCH ABC viewers online and on mobile devices.

Audiences are roaring with laughter at Nicky Silver's ferociously funny contemporary comedy, The Lyons. To meet the demand for tickets, 2nd Story has scheduled five additional performances: Sunday, February 9 @ 7PM; Thursday, February 13 @ 8PM; Friday, February 14 @ 8PM; Saturday, February 15 @ 8PM; and Sunday, February 16 @ 3PM.

Playwright Nicky Silver's Broadway-break through, THE LYONS, is a black comedy that focuses our attention on the titular dysfunctional family. Although it's characters may be a bit one dimensional at times, this play has a lot of amusing twists and turns, and there are also several moments that occur that we can all identify with for better or worse. Max & Louis Productions has put together a smartly acted and directed presentation that showcases the intimate and humorous nature of this show.

Can there be too much of a good thing? From the enthusiastic response to the news that 2nd Story planned to double the number of plays produced this season, it seems the answer is a resounding 'no'. Of building a 70-seat second space and adding programming, Artistic Director Ed Shea said, 'For years 2nd Story operated under the assumption that less is more, but it turns out more is more. When it comes to professional-quality live theatre, there cannot be too much of a good thing. Not only is there a market for more, there is a need and a desire for more. With the construction of our second space, we can give audiences more comedy, more drama, more entertainment, and more food for thought.'
