THE ROCKATS Announce Details About New Album 'Start Over Again'

Nearly 40 years in, the band is still going strong with vocalist Dibbs Preston, guitarists Danny B. Harvey and Barry Ryan, and bassist Smutty Smiff, and they’re still bringing their love of early rock n’ roll to the masses, having released a killer cover of Eddie Cochran’s “Nervous Breakdown” late last year in anticipation of their new album.

Three Rooms Press presents a one night only event: PUNK ALL-STARS, the NYC book launch for "PUNK AVENUE: Inside the New York City Underground 1972-1982," a memoir by NYC punk scene insider Phil Marcade. Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company announces its next production in Season 35: Lights Rise on Grace, a world premiere by acclaimed playwright Chad Beckim. Woolly Company Member Michael John Garces, who helmed recent Woolly shows including We Are Proud and The Convert, will direct the new production. While waiting for the results of genetic testing that could confirm her fears, Janice struggles to hold it together and pursue her art in the city. With the help of an attractive but troubled super, a devoted brother, and visions of her mentally ill mother, will Janice find her way home? Selected from over 400 submissions as the winner of Premiere's annual competition for unproduced scripts by area playwrights, Janice Underwater received a developmental reading earlier this spring, delighting audiences with its recognizable characters and locales.
