Award-winning actor Max Bowden, best known for the roles of Ben Mitchell in EastEnders and Justin Fitzgerald in Waterloo Road, will star as Jack Firebrace in Birdsong, Sebastian Faulks's epic story of love and loss, when it returns to the stage in a brand-new production for 2024, marking the 30th anniversary of the international best-selling novel. 

Award-winning theatre company New Old Friends in association with Yvonne Arnaud Theatre will present Houdini’s Greatest Escape which will play at Darlington Hippodrome on Tuesday 2 April.

The cast has been announced for the spring tour of Henry Madd’s autobiographical show Land of Lost Content, which commences with a week’s run at London’s Arcola Theatre.

Ken Ludwig's adaptation of Agatha Christie MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS will embark on UK and Ireland tour. It will open on 6 September at the Lowry in Salford and will continue through to 2025, finishing on 26 April at Brighton Theatre Royal.

Tom Byrne will play Richard Hannay in the UK Tour of the Tony and Olivier Award-winning comedy, THE 39 STEPS, with Safeena Ladha as Annabella Schmidt / Pamela / Margaret, Eugene McCoy as Clown 1 and Maddie Rice as Clown 2. Learn more about the production here!

Houdini’s Greatest Escape, put on by New Old Friends in association with Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, tells the story of the great escape artists Harry Houdini and his wife, Bess, as they travel to England with the hopes of being invited to perform at King Edward’s Royal Gala. But, things quickly take a turn when they are framed for murder and robbery.
