Tracy Brigden has been named the Guthrie Theater’s Senior Artistic Producer and a member of the Senior Management Team. Before coming to the Guthrie, she served as Artistic Director at City Theatre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for 16 years.

TheaterWorks Hartford is thrilled to present the 2022 edition of its New Work Festival. This free festival, running May 16–22, explores and celebrates new voices in American Theater. With workshops, a panel discussion, and talk-backs—both in-person and online—the New Work Festival strengthens TheaterWorks Hartford’s commitment to the development of important new plays. Participants include playwrights Brooke Berman, Melissa Crespo & Sarah Saltwick, Terry Guest, and James Anthony Tyler who are joined by directors Shariffa Ali, Michael Barakiva, Mikael Burke, and Caitlin Sullivan. The Omaha Community Playhouse has announced that Stephen Santa will be joining the organization as the new artistic director beginning on November 1, 2021. Susan Baer Collins, former OCP associate artistic director, has been acting as interim artistic director since January. Collins will work with Santa during the transition.

Theatre Aspen will present its second annual one-person show festival, Solo Flights, as the third act of this year’s 38th summer season, launching next Wednesday, August 25 and running through Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Hurst Theatre in Aspen, Colorado. 

Ahead of the start of the 38th Season, Theatre Aspen announced today that after a successful first flight, the organization will present its second annual one-person show festival, Solo Flights, as the third act of this year’s summer season, August 25 – 31, 2021 at the Hurst Theatre in Aspen, Colorado.

Tracy Brigden and Mike DelGaudio have announced the creation of their audio experiences company Roaring Box. The company will produce audio content such as fiction and non-fiction podcasts, audio books and radio plays, joining forces with Mr. DelGaudio's voiceover, YouTube and coaching business, Booth Junkie.

Point Park University's Pittsburgh Playhouse plans to continue to offer one-of-a-kind virtual productions this coming spring with the continuation of Here. Now. Next!, building on the wildly inventive body of productions this fall. The spring will include bold and provocative theatre and dance productions, the popular Dance Speaker Series, and a reimagined Media Innovators Workshop & Speaker Series. The dance productions are generously sponsored by UPMC.

Fairfield Center Stage, a community theater group, will produce the seventh annual 'Playathon', a presentation of new 10-minute plays to be written, cast, rehearsed and performed in the course of a 26-hour timespan.
