People's Light presents Hold These Truths, a solo play inspired by the true story of Gordon Hirabayashi, bringing back the entire team of the 2020 production that was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Created in response to the sharp rise in hate directed toward the AAPI community over the past few years, Boston Court Pasadena, East West Players, and Pasadena Playhouse have joined forces to share a virtual reading of Jeanne Sakata's timely solo play Hold These Truths.

As a young University of Washington student and practicing Quaker, Gordon struggles to reconcile his love for the U.S. Constitution with the government's orders to incarcerate people of Japanese ancestry on the West Coast.
