Executive Producers Pam Carter and The Cliplight Theater, in conjunction with Amanda Cooper/ALC Management, are pleased to announce the world premiere of Maverick, co-authored by Frank Beacham and George Demas. A dramatization of co-author Beacham's real-life experience collaborating with Orson Welles in the months leading up to his death, Maverick begins previews at The Connelly Theater (220 E. 4th St., between Ave. A & Ave. B) on February 6, with opening night set for February 13 for a limited run through March 2. Irish Repertory Theatre announced today extensions of both of their current productions, the New York premiere of Brian Friel's THE HOME PLACE, and the world premiere of OFF THE METER, ON THE RECORD, written and performed by John McDonagh (Producer of 'Radio Free Eireann').

Directed by Charlotte Moore (Finian's Rainbow), The Home Place begins tonight, September 27, 2017, and opens on Sunday October 8, 2017 for a limited run through November 19, 2017 on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street).

Irish Repertory Theatre has announced full casting for the New York Premiere of Brian Friel's THE HOME PLACE.

It's always fun to take in the many treats available at Shakespeare Festival St. Louis each year in Forest Park, and I'm not just talking about the food and drink stands, but also all the performers, mini-versions of the show, etc, that take place before the main attraction begins (arrive early). And,with the weather just a touch cooler there's no excuse not to attend, Besides, it's truly special watching a classic work by the immortal bard under the stars. This year a most apropos example of his work, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, takes flight in the wooded confines, exactly the place where the action of this play occurs. It's a match made in heaven, and it's also a work that, as I've stated in other reviews, is a great introduction to the playwright. So, by all means, bring the family and enjoy this fantastic production.

? Renowned New York actress and Olivier nominee Nancy Anderson will play the role of Titania in Shakespeare Festival St. Louis' production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, June 3-26, at Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park.  This marks the company's 16th season of free, outdoor, professional theatre in the park.  Preview performances are scheduled June 1-2.  Performances run nightly, except Tuesdays, and begin at 8 p.m.

The Acting Company will present a benefit staged reading of The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard at 7 pm on Monday, January 13 at the Pearl Theatre, 555 West 42nd Street (9th-10th Avenues). The first production in our 2013-2014 Season brought Terence Rattigan's writing back in to the spotlight. Rattigan's classic drama, The Winslow Boy, a production from the Old Vic in London, played a total of 85 performances at the American Airlines Theatre from first preview on September 20 through closing night on December 1.

Bob Boyett and the National Theatre of Great Britain announceD today that their acclaimed Broadway production of ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS recouped its $3.25 million capitalization, during the week ending August 19, 2012. ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS began previews on April 6 and opened officially on April 18, 2012. The production is playing a strict limited engagement at the Music Box Theatre through September 2, 2012 only.
