Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts has announced the latest addition to the 2023-2024 season, Bruce Hornsby and YMusic, “BrhyM” Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 7 p.m. in Helzberg Hall. 

Fifteen-time GRAMMY winner and Country Music Hall of Fame member Ricky Skaggs is getting in the holiday spirit with the announcement of his 2023 holiday tour, titled Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder Christmas with Special Guests. Skaggs and his band, Kentucky Thunder, hit the road this December.

Hosted by Asleep At The Wheel frontman and Austin local Ray Benson, season two will feature legendary artists like Waylon Jennings, Ray Charles, Trisha Yearwood, Tanya Tucker, Toby Keith, Tammy Wynette, Wynonna Judd, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Turnpike Troubadours, and others.

The third single from The Gibson Brothers’ upcoming Jerry Douglas-produced LP, Darkest Hour, “One Minute Of You (Song For Annie Gray)” rides a galloping acoustic guitar foundation with minimal percussion and tasty electric guitar and fiddle flourishes. The song, like most of the Gibson’s catalog, feels equally at home on stage.

On Sunday, December 4, Nashville's CabaRay Showroom proved to be the perfect location to surprise music legends Ray Stevens and Brenda Lee with The Cecil Scaife Visionary Award. Stevens, who was in on the planning of the event, thought he was giving the award to Lee and Lee thought she was giving it to Stevens.
