Celebrated more and more with every passing year, the medium of photography continues to amaze, provoke, reveal, and compel. This spring the arrival of a major photography fair in New York City offers an opportunity to see the very best photographs from around the world.

Winner of the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical, Gentleman's Guide tells the uproarious story of Monty Navarro, an heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession by-you guessed it-eliminating the eight pesky relatives who stand in his way. All the while, Monty has to juggle his mistress (she's after more than just love), his fiancée (she's his cousin but who's keeping track?), and the constant threat of landing behind bars! Of course, it will all be worth it if he can slay his way to his inheritance... and be done in time for tea.

Dr. Charlene Pauls, the new Artistic Director and Conductor of the Guelph Chamber Choir, is pleased to present our first 2019/2020 series concert. In a world that seems to highlight so much of what is negative about the human spirit, we are presenting a concert that focuses on music that brings people together. Admission is free. The one-and-a-quarter hour talk will examine Judy Garland's life and career, and feature nine audio-video clips, to be followed by a question and answer. Schulman will endeavor to answer the question: 'If I had about one hour to convince you of Judy Garland's place in classic American popular music, what film and television performances would I choose?'
