12 Peers Theater begins their eighth main stage season with Blank, featuring the return of White Rabbit Red Rabbit playwright Nassim Soleimanpour and his latest 'story machine.' Blank features a script full of blanks, to be filled by the audience in attendance and a new performer at every performance, ensuring no two performances are the same.

On Sunday, December 9th, 'Burgh Vivant will present a staged reading of the classic comedy play Auntie Mame, featuring 2013 Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Performer of the Year Daina Griffith in the title role.  The evening will benefit 'Burgh Vivant's mission to promote arts and culture in Pittsburgh. 

City Theatre is thrilled to announce the details of the final production of the 2017-18 season: Nomad Motel by Carla Ching. Originally commissioned as part of South Coast Repertory Theatre's CrossRoads initiative (Marc Masterson, Artistic Director) the play explores a family consumed by California's crippling housing crisis and the life of a "parachute kid," sent to live alone in America while his father remains in Hong Kong. It is directed by LA-based artist Bart DeLorenzo, and will run on the City Theatre Main Stage, May 12-June 3, 2018. Tickets are on sale now. 

To complete his illustrious career leading Pittsburgh Public Theater, Ted Pappas has chosen William Shakespeare's Hamlet as the final play he will direct as the company's Producing Artistic Director. His cast of 21 actors will be led by Indiana, PA native Matthew Amendt. Blank My Life will release its final season in spring of 2018. A mash up of Twin Peaks, Glee, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the series bills itself as a 'Horror-Comedy in Anytown, USA'. Over the past two years, the surreal, comedic series has followed protagonist, Susan, through love and heartbreak in NYC. The series will take its final resting place as a Scary-Gay-Musical.
