PHILIP PAUL KELLY has been performing since he was a boy growing up on Long Island, New York. His first professional job was as a backup singer for one of the famed “Double-Mint Twins,” which took him to many well-known nightclubs in and around the tri-state area. He then went on to perform in Broadway-style reviews on cruise ships, leading to his first starring role in the theatre as ‘Tony” in “West Side Story”. He’s appeared in national tour productions of “Titanic” and Camelot, as well as regional productions of Jekyll & Hyde, A Christmas Carol, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan and the off-Broadway show Fags & Cellphones. Recently he appeared in 1776 as the Reverend Jonathan Witherspoon at The John Engeman Theater and as Admiral Perry in the acclaimed “Ragtime on Ellis Island” staged concert with Brian Stokes Mitchell, Georgia Engel, Brandon Victor Dixon, Michael Park and Laura Michelle Kelly. In addition, Philip organized and produced “The Hero’s Benefit” after 9-11 at the Triad Theater which included appearances by Tony Roberts, Louise Pitre (Broadway’s Mama Mia), KT Sullivan, Mark Nadler, Andrea Marcovicci (stars of stage and cabaret), and Grammy Award Winning Composer, Julie Gold.

The actor will be playing the part of 'The Viceroy of The British Raj' in the September workshop at the Bingham Camp in Salem, Connecticut in association with Live & In Color Theatre. Cheeyang Ng & Eric Sorrels wrote the musical set in 1930's India and follows the story of a poet named Maya, during India's quest for independence from British rule.
